Nuppepo
Nuppepo or could also be known as Nuppefuhofu is a Japanese demon. Many people say they are adorable chubby creatures, but they aren't. Nuppepo is basically a walking lump of decayed human flesh with short thick arms and legs that carries a very pungent body odor. They walk on their 2 hands and can be spotted during the night wondering around graveyards, deserted temples, old dark streets or abandoned villages. It is sometimes described as the Japanese Frankenstein with bits of rotting flesh. Nuppepo or Nuppefuhofu is estimated to be around 1.5m tall. Which is around the approximate height of a 12-13 year old. If I were to describe this Japanese demon at first glance, I would label it as "a lump of fat that is half alive."
Kappa
The Kappa, another known name would be Kahaku
is recognized to be a goblin-like creature or referred to as a water monkey. These
creatures are mischievous troublemakers. Some include looking up Women's
kimonos, stealing crops, playing pranks or kidnapping children. Kappas normally
drink blood but can be either good or evil. They love to eat cucumbers in
general. Many families, who wish to gain the favor of a Kappa or at least avoid
trouble, write their names on cucumbers and throw them into the Kappa's pond.
There are many tales of the Kappa. I read some stories that talked about them
creeping up your toilet to cause damage and trouble. Another popular one talked
about Kappa's waiting for people who wash their clothes by the pond. The Kappa
then sticks its hands up the persons bum when they are squatting down and pulls
their insides out which would turn their whole body inside out. Kappas don't do
these for any absolute reason; they just enjoy causing trouble and having fun
by bothering others.
